Dr. Laverack is an international leader in health and empowerment with a distinguished career for more than 30 years working in Europe, Africa, Asia and the Pacific regions. Formerly working as the Senior Research Fellow at Flinders University he was also the Coordinator (Empowerment) at the WHO in Geneva. Dr. Laverack has a wide range of publications regarding empowerment including books in English, Russian, Estonian and German. He has a well-defined research agenda with a special interest in empowerment and the Sustainable Development Goals. His range of professional experience in many cross-cultural settings helps to provide a broad insight into his work.
